Parish Catechism Program

The parish of St. John Brebeuf, utilizing the "Born of the Spirit" program, provides Catechism classes for parish children in grades one to six.

Once again this year, programming will include grades seven and eight.  Classes will be held once monthly for this age group (see downloadable schedule below). 

Classes begin in October and run until the end of April.  They are held in the parish school on Sunday mornings from 10:35 am - 11:15 am. 

Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and Eucharist is carried out in Year 2 and involves both parent and child.   We recognize that the parents are the primary catechists of their children. We therefore offer a preparation program which endeavors to support the parents in this role and also involve the parish community, enhancing the sacramental experience for all.

Registration for the 2010/2011 session will take place Saturday, September 11 following 5:00 pm Mass and Sunday, Sepbember 12 between 9:30 am and 11:30 am Masses.
